We attach great importance to your trust, which is why we take data protection very seriously and ensure appropriate security. Of course, we comply with the legal provisions of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), the Ordinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (OFADP), the Telecommunications Act (TCA), and other applicable data protection provisions under Swiss or EU law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
To learn which personal data we collect about you and for what purposes we use it, please read the following information carefully.
1. Visiting our website
When you visit our website, our servers temporarily store each access in a log file. The following technical data are collected — as is the case with any connection to a web server — without any action on your part and stored by us until automatic deletion after a maximum of 24 months:
the IP address of the computer accessing the site,
the name of the IP address owner (generally your Internet service provider),
the date and time of access,
the website from which you accessed our site (referrer URL) and possibly the search keywords used,

the status code (e.g., error message),
the operating system of your computer,
the browser you use (type, version, and language),
the communication protocol used (e.g., HTTP/1.1), and
if applicable, your username from a registration/authentication.
The collection and processing of these data are carried out for the purpose of enabling the use of our website (establishing a connection), ensuring the long-term security and stability of the system, and enabling the optimization of our online services. They are also used for internal statistical purposes. These processing activities are based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

To place orders in our online shop, you may create a customer account. When registering for a customer account, we collect the following data:
– first and last name
– postal address
– date of birth

– password
These data are collected in order to provide the customer with direct, password-protected access to their basic data stored in our system. Customers can view their completed and pending orders as well as manage/modify their personal data.
Your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR forms the legal basis for processing the data for this purpose.
3. Purchases in the online shop

Unless otherwise provided in this privacy policy or unless separate consent has been obtained from you, we will use the aforementioned data solely for the purpose of performing this contract, in particular to process your orders, deliver the ordered products, and ensure that payment is properly executed.
4. Disclosure of data to third parties
We only disclose your personal data if you have expressly consented to it, if we are under a legal obligation to do so, or if this is necessary to enforce our rights, in particular to assert rights arising from the contractual relationship.
In addition, we share your data with third parties to the extent necessary for the use of the website and the performance of the contract (including outside the website), in particular for processing your bookings. This includes the carrier responsible for shipping the ordered goods. Our web hosting provider Swisscenter / OpenBusiness SA, World Trade Center, Avenue Gratta-Paille 2, 1018 Lausanne, is a service provider to whom we transfer personal data collected via the website, or who has or may have access to such data. The website is hosted on servers in Switzerland. The transfer of data serves the purpose of providing and maintaining the functionality of our website.

5. Transfer of data abroad
We are also entitled to transfer your personal data to third-party companies (commissioned service providers) abroad for the data processing activities specified in this privacy policy. These companies are subject to the same level of data protection as we are. If the level of data protection in a given country does not correspond to that of Switzerland or the EU, we will establish a contract to ensure that your personal data is always protected to the same standard as in Switzerland or the EU.
6. Cookies

B. Google Analytics
The provider of Google Analytics is Google Inc., a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc., headquartered in the United States. Before data is transmitted to the provider, the IP address is shortened by activating IP anonymization (“anonymizeIP”) on this website within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Google does not combine the anonymized IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics with other data. In exceptional cases, the full IP address is transmitted to a Google server in the United States before being shortened there. In such cases, we ensure through contractual guarantees that Google Inc. maintains an adequate level of data protection. According to Google Inc., the IP address will under no circumstances be associated with other data relating to the user.
Further information regarding the audience analysis service used can be found on the Google Analytics website. To learn how to prevent the processing of your data by the audience analysis service, please visit the following address: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
8. Note on data transfers to the United States
For the sake of completeness, we inform users whose domicile or registered office is in Switzerland that the United States is subject to surveillance measures by U.S. authorities. These measures generally allow the recording of all personal data of individuals whose data has been transferred from Switzerland to the United States. This occurs without differentiation, limitation, or exception based on the purpose pursued and without any objective criteria limiting U.S. authorities’ access to the data and their subsequent use for very specific and strictly limited purposes that could justify the interference associated with both access to and use of these data.
Furthermore, we inform you that in the United States, individuals from Switzerland have no legal recourse to access their data, to request its correction or deletion, or to obtain effective judicial protection against the broad access rights of U.S. authorities. We explicitly draw the attention of the data subjects to this legal and factual situation so that they may make an informed decision regarding their consent to the use of their data.
We also inform users domiciled in an EU member state that, according to the EU, the United States — particularly due to the issues mentioned in this section — does not have an adequate level of data protection. Where we have explained in this privacy policy that certain data recipients (e.g., Google) are based in the United States, we ensure, either through contractual arrangements with these companies or through their certification under the EU-U.S. or Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, that your data enjoys an adequate level of protection with our partners.
9. Right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability
You have the right to obtain, upon request, information about the personal data concerning you that we store. You also have the right to rectify incorrect data and to have your personal data erased, provided that no legal retention obligation or legal basis allowing us to process the data opposes such deletion.
You also have the right to request the return of the data you have provided to us (right to data portability). Upon request, we will also transfer the data to a third party of your choice. You have the right to receive the data in a standard format.
You can contact us for the purposes mentioned above at the following email address: info@remy.ch
We may, at our sole discretion, request proof of identity to process your requests.
10. Data security
11. Data retention
We store personal data only as long as it is necessary for the use of the tracking and analysis services mentioned above, as well as for subsequent processing based on our legitimate interest. We retain contractual data for a longer period insofar as this is required by statutory retention obligations. The obligations to retain data arise from financial accounting regulations and tax law. In accordance with these provisions, business correspondence, concluded contracts, and accounting records must be retained for up to 10 years. Once we no longer require these data to provide our services, they will be blocked. The use of these data will then be restricted to tax and accounting purposes.
You also have the right to request the return of the data you have provided to us (right to data portability). Upon request, we will also transfer the data to a third party of your choice. You have the right to receive the data in a standard format.
